CIRPS (Interuniversity Center for Research and Sustainable Development) is a center of research excellence for 300 teaching, research and technical staff coming from the nine Italian universities that belong to the project plus another 40 from Italian and international universities, research centers, companies and institutions. CIRPS co-ordinates and takes part in networks of excellence, research projects and local development activities on an international level. The Solar Energy Unit (Unità Energia Solare or Ues) operates mainly in the fields on solar thermal technology, photovoltaic technology and energy efficiency by carrying out applied research activities, training, promotion and informative campaigns, potential evaluations.
