Italian Clean Technology

The University of Salerno (Universit� degli studi di Salerno or UniSa) is mainly based in Fisciano, a town in the province of Salerno. It is the third-largest university in the south of Italy by size and number of students. It currently has 10 faculties, 60 courses on-going (degrees, graduate studies, masters degrees), 29 departments, six research centers as well as one of the few universities in Italy to be organized around a campus of 1 sq km.

Nano-particle emissions project - This is designed to study new catalytic approaches and regeneration techniques for filtering nano-particle emissions from diesel engines.

Biodiversity project - The research examines all aspects of the emission, transport, deposition and monitoring of contaminants from vehicle traffic. Effects on biodiversity and the functioning of Mediterranean holm-oak forests are also studied.
