The science and technology park of southern Lazio (Parco Scientifico e Tecnologico del Lazio Meridionale or Pa.L.Mer.) is a limited responsibility consortium that, in the target geographical area represented by the provinces of Frosinone and Latina as well as with a wider view to the context of the region of Lazio, sets out to govern, coordinate and develop activities toward the promotion, realisation and management of research, experimentation and the dissemination of scientific, technological and organizational innovation. It is also active in environmental protection, the training of human resources and in improving business and product systems.
SECTORS
Renewable Energy
  • General
Creation of a center of excellence and a technology demonstration site dedicated to renewable energy sources and supporting the local business environment. The project aims to establish a network with enterprises already working in Italy and Europe to disseminate knowledge in the field of renewables, in particular through an approach to new technologies that involves demonstration and pilot activities.
Waste Cycle
  • Waste to Energy
Recovery of material resources and energy through the anaerobic digestion and subsequent aerobic stabilization of waste produced in food-farming processes.
Conservation
  • General
Environmental protection
  • Water
Improvements in the management of control systems for water networks and in their quality of leakage reduction as a way of encouraging technological innovation.

Renewable Energy
  • General
    CEER-PALMER project.
The aim is to establish a network with enterprises already working in Italy and Europe to disseminate knowledge in the field of renewables, in particular through an approach to new technologies that involves demonstration and pilot activities.
CEER-PALMER: a project funded by the Regione Lazio (Lazio regional government) and managed by the Parco Scientifico e Tecnologico del Lazio Meridionale with the aim of creating a center of excellence and a technology demonstration site dedicated to renewable energy sources and supporting the local business environment.
Conservation
  • General
    - CET-PALMER is a project that aims to create and consolidate five centers of technological excellence in southern Lazio in the fields of the environment (META), of food-farming and chemicals and pharmaceuticals (ISA), of communication and information technologies (ICTdemolab), of mechanical and materials testing (dynalab) and of microelectronics (CETEM).
    - META (Metrologia dell’Ambiente). The project is organized around the two macro-areas of the metrology of working environments - indoor and outdoor.
In the first macro-area (focused above all on the metrology of thermo-hydrometric, respiratory, olfactory, acoustic and visual well-being as well as the metrology of electromagnetic pollution) the planned activities will be targeted at local SMEs, seeking to raise awareness especially in small companies which, given their size, often have problems measuring and controlling indoor working environments.
In the second macro-area (focused above all on the metrology of outdoor electromagnetic pollution and the metrology of the emissions of waste effluent), the planned activities are especially targeted at the most appropriate sectors in the local area, even with the direct involvement of trade associations or existing consortiums (i.e. paper sector, waste treatment and incineration, building sector, etc.)
  • Water
    Collective environment:
Aim: to improve the management of control systems for water networks and in their quality of leakage reduction as a way of encouraging technological innovation.
