The technology park, founded through the joint commitment of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and the European Union, is a nexus of advanced infrastructure and services to help technological research innovate, develop and move into industry. It is one of Italy’s biggest technology parks with more than 50 organizations located on-site and 400 people working on research and development activities, technology transfer, training and services. There are two sites: one at Pula, inside a 160-hectare natural park along the southwestern coast of Sardinia; the other is at Alghero, in the north of the island and also located inside a nature reserve. They both stand out for their high level of functionality, privileged geographical location and ease of access. The Pula site is managed by Sardegna Ricerche while the one at Alghero is run by Porto Conte Ricerche.
