Rome's first technology hub, the Tecnopolo Tiburtino is an innovative project whose aim is to set up an organized system that's able to attract highly technological entrepreneurial initiatives, reviving advanced industrial and post-industrial sectors. Following investments of about 300 million euros, there are now about 60 companies that have chosen to be based here, creating about 3,000 jobs, both direct and indirect. When fully functional, the investments will amount to more than 600 million euros, which will bring about a substantial increase in the number of companies located here and employees.

Investments are planned for the installation of a centralized tricogeneration plant (combined production system for electricity and heat), which will provide district heating and cooling to all the companies located at the park.
